Erith players warm up in front of the new cover at the stadium

MAIDSTONE AND PHOENIX CONFIRMED

We are delighted to have filled our three home pre-season friendly dates after Maidstone United and Phoenix Sports agreed to come to Erith Stadium.

The Stones will visit on Monday 23rd July at 7.30pm, just nine days after opening their new Gallagher Stadium with a friendly at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Our neighbours from Phoenix will be at Erith Stadium the following Monday at 7.30pm, with Dulwich Hamlet already confirmed for Saturday 28th July.

We will start with a double header first team and reserves team friendly at Crowborough Athletic on Saturday 14th July, the reserve team game kicking off at 2pm and first team at 4pm.

We are also hoping to get an away game for Saturday 7th July.

 TO VISIT ERITHDOCKERS HEADING NORTH

In a change from the normal pre-season routine the Dockers will head North on Saturday 21st July to face Winsford United.

Officials of the club have been talking about a game and the North-West Counties League Premier Division side confirmed the fixture on Tuesday (15th May).

The players will be staying in the North-West for the weekend and we very much look forward to visiting Winsford.

DULWICH FRIENDLY CONFIRMED

We are pleased to confirm that Dulwich Hamlet will be visiting Erith for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 28th July.

Before then they have an important date this Sunday when they meet Bognor Regis Town in the Ryman League Division One South play-off Final.

We wish them every success and hope we can welcome them as a Ryman Premier club.

We also have a provisional agreement to play Welling United on Monday 30th July at 7.30pm.

DOCKERS FINISH FOURTH DESPITE VALLEY DEFEAT

Erith Town finished the season in a record fourth place, but in disappointing style as they slipped to their heaviest League defeat of the season, losing 4-0 at home to Cray Valley.

Steve Springett put Cray ahead on the stroke of half-time and things got worse as they scored through Luke Tanner in the opening minute of the second half.

Matt Knuckey killed off any hopes of  a late comeback with a third goal ten minutes from time and Tom Gamblin completed the misery when he made in 4-0 in the 87th minute.

Despite the defeat the players should take great credit for the overall League performance this season.

TUNA ON TARGET AS DOCKERS DRAW

Tamer Tuna scored his first goal for Erith Town as they came from a goal down to draw 1-1 at Sevenoaks Town on Saturday.

Jordan Clark had put Oaks ahead two minutes after the break but the former Charlton youngster levelled 17 minutes later, after the hosts had Fraser Cronin sent off for a second booking.

The draw saw the Dockers drop to fourth after VCD beat Lordswood 2-0.

Congratulations to Herne Bay Football Club who secured the Kent League title with a 2-0 win at Greenwich Borough. We wish them every success in the Ryman League.

DAVIS DOUBLE SINKS CITY

Nick Davis scored twice as the Dockers won 3-1 at Canterbury City to reclaim second place in the League.

Davis opened the scoring in the fifth minute pnly for Mike Smissen to level on the stroke of half-time.

The central defender restored Erith 's lead in the 56th minute before Tyrus Gordon doubled the advantage fourteen minutes from time.

Herne Bay were held to a 1-1 draw at Corinthian and require a point from Wednesday's home game against Erith & Belvedere to take the title.

BURGESS DOUBLE DEALS DERBY DELIGHT

Liam Burgess struck the first and final goals of a memorable 4-1 for the Dockers agaisnt Erith & Belvedere.

Burgess set Erith on their way in the 18th minute before Tyrus Gordon doubled the lead seven minutes before the break.

Marvin Farrell reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time, but Nick Davis restored the two goal advantage in the 71st minute and Burgess struck again five minutes from time.

VCD's 4-0 win over Sevenoaks means that Town remain in fourth spot.

DOCKERS WELL BEATEN AT BECKENHAM

Erith's hopes of second place took a blow as they suffered their heaviest League defeat of the season at Beckenham on Monday.

Without Tyrus Gordon, Bradley Killick played alongside Tamer Tuna in a new look frontline but they got little joy from the hosts who took at 17th minute lead.

Ray Powell gave away a free-kick 25 yards out and Jake Hobbs gave Alex Hyde no chance with a perfectly struck dead ball effort.

Five minutes later Hobbs was given too much time to get in a shot from similar distance and when Hyde could only parry Elstrom Die followed up with a deft finish to make it 2-0.

Junior Alobi, making his debut as a first half sub, caused Beckenham a few problems with his pace but the hosts were otherwise untroubled until keeper Nick Blue clawed Ben Payne's header from under the bar.

A minute from time Beckenham sub Ben Slade cut inside Lee Craig to fire the third and only a superb tip over from Hyde denied him a second goal in injury time.

GORDON'S GOAL ENOUGH AS DOCKERS GO THIRD

Tyrus Gordon scored the only goal as Erith Town beat Sevenoaks Town 1-0 at Erith Stadium on Saturday.

Gordon struck in the 35th minute to provide the perfect tonic ahead of two tough games this week.

On Monday the Dockers travel to Beckenham Town before hosting Erith & Belvedere in a game that currently looks like being 3rd v 2nd.

DOCKERS FOURTH AFTER CORINTHIAN DRAW

A late Lee Barnett goal forced Erith to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to League Cup Finalists Corinthian.

Grant Brown had given the Dockers a 71st minute lead, but Barnett's goal saw Erith drop to fourth after Erith & Belvedere won 4-0 at Greenwich and VCD Athletic 5-0 at Sevenoaks.

The reserves followed up Monday's 4-0 win at Erith & Belvedere with a 3-0 win at Margate.

Joel Harrington, who only turned 16 in November made his debut in goal and kept a clean sheet.

At the other end Tom Fitzgerald, Nad Nwitua with a penalty and Theo Baffoe all found the net.

DERE DELIGHT FOR IN FORM RESERVES

Erith Town Reserves kept themselves in the hunt for third place on Monday evening as they went to Erith & Belvedere and returned with an impressive   4-0 win.

DEAL FEEL THE PAYNE AS DOCKERS STAY SECOND

You would of got good odds before on it before the game but skipper Ben Payne was the unlikely hero with both goals as Erith beat Deal Town 2-1 on Saturday.

Payne opened the scoring after three minute and amazingly found the net again nine minutes later to treble his tally to three for the season.

Aaron Robinson pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute but Tony Russell's side held on for the points.

Victory redcued their deficit at the top to ten points after Herne Bay lost 3-2 down the road at Erith & Belvedere.

VCD Athletic completed the three local sides in the top four with a 3-2 win over Greenwich Borough.

HERO HANSON DENIES DOCKERS

After scroing their winner in the FA Vase last week, defender Steve Hanson scored the decisive goal to give Herne Bay a 1-0 win in the meeting of the top two.

Hanson headed home in the 49th minute to leave the Dockers trailing 13 points behind Bay, although they remain second after both VCD Athletic and Tunbridge Wells both slipped to defeats.

The reserves game with Chatham Town kicked off late after a congestion caused by a crash held up the referee and opposition, but ended in a 1-1 draw.

ERITH TIED UP IN NOTTS

Erith Town were delighted to receive some welcome visitors on Friday afternoon as the Football League's oldest club Notts County arrived at Erith Stadium.

Dockers secretary Jim Davie took a call from the Meadow Lane club on Thursday as they looked for a local ground to train on ahead of their visit to League One leaders Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

A couple of phone calls ensured that recently appointed County boss Keith Curle was able to bring his squad, along with kit men and coaches to Erith for an hour session on Friday afternoon.

Dockers General manager Ian Birrell and other committee members greeted them as they arrived from their local base and made sure that they had all they needed.

County left a signed football and shirt as a token of their gratitude before returning to their hotel.

DOCKERS RECLAIM SECOND AFTER HOLMESDALE BLITZ

Erith struck five second half goals as they hammered Holmesdale 6-0 at Oakley Road.

Ray Powell's first Dockers goal had given Town a narrow lead before the floodgates opened after the break.

Nick Davis made it two five minutes in to the second half before Tyrus Gordon scored either side of a Liam Burgess goal. Chris Walker completed the rout in the 90th minute.

The win takes them back above neighbours VCD Athletic who were beaten 3-1 at Canterbury.

The reserves also had a productive day with a 3-0 home win against Deal Town.

McDONALD MAKES DOCKERS REGRET MISSED CHANCES

Three weeks after going out of the League Cup to Woodstock Sports, the Dockers were beaten again in Saturday's League fixture.

Once again James McDonald proved a thorn in Erith's side as he scored both of Sports' goals in the 68th and 84th minutes.

In truth Tony Russell's side have only themselves to blame having had enough chances to win the game before McDonald continued his excellent form of recent weeks.

The reserves picked up a point from a 2-2 draw with Maidstone United at Erith Stadium.

ERITH STAY SECOND AFTER 3-0 WIN AT WELLS

Erith Town avenged their 3-1 home defeat to Tunbridge Wells earlier in the campaign with a 3-0 success at Culverden on Saturday.

Adam Williams put the Dockers ahead with Tyrus Gordon then scoring in either half, his last goal deep into added time.

RESERVES LOSE AT BAY

Erith Town Reserves went down 2-0 at Herne Bay on Wednesday evening.

They will travel to Tonbridge Angels in the Kent Intermediate Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday 21st February at 7.45pm.

BLANK WEEKEND FOR DOCKERS

The first team match at Tunbridge Wells and the reserves' home game against Margate have both been postponed due to frozen pitches.

RESERVES' GAME OFF

Tuesday's Kent Intermediate Cup tie at Tonbridge Angels is postponed due to a frozen pitch at Longmead. A new date is to be confirmed.

CANTERBURY CITY v ERITH TOWN - POSTPONED

The Dockers' trip to Canterbury City has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Winch's Field.

DOCKERS DUMPED BY WOODSTOCK WONDERS

Erith Town crashed out of the League Ciup as two goals in the last ten minutes sent Woodstock Sports thorugh to the last four.

Leading 1-0 from the away leg, the Dockers made the worst possible start when Nick Davis headed in to his own net in the second minute, and the visitors took an aggregate lead when James McDonald fired the first of his hat-trick in the 13th minute.

Three minutes later Tyrus Gordon's superb curling shot made it 2-1 on the night and he rounded Sports' keeper Jack Rankin to restore the aggregate lead in the 32nd minute.

Any notion that the visitors would roll over after the break was dispelled as McDonald headed home all to easily in the 51st minute.

A well taken James Hawkins effort made it 4-3 to Erith on aggregate but his error lead to an 80th minute goal as Woodstock broke swiftly past a static defence for McDonald to roll in his third.

Extra time would have left the Dockers needing a fourth in order to avoid an away goals defeat but in the event the visitors finished the job five minutes from time as Jon Emmerson scored from the spot after Lee Craig was penalised for a trip.

A great night for Woodstock and the neutral - not so good for Erith.

RESERVES OUT OF LONDON INTERMEDIATE CUP

Erith Town reserves went out of the London Intermediate Cup after losing 2-0at home to Metrogas in Saturday's quarter-final.

The first team will take a 1-0 lead in to Monday's home leg of their League Cup quarter-final second leg at Erith Stadium. The game kicks off at 7.30pm

DOCKERS DISAPPOINTMENT IN BOROUGH DEADLOCK

Erith failed to could only pick up a point as Greenwich Borough deservedly left Erith Stadium with a share of the spoils from a goalless draw.

It was a frustrating result after Wednesday's midweek League Cup win.

The reserves were beaten 2-0 at Faversham Town.

Congratulations to all at Herne Bay on their 2-1 win at Newcastle Benfield which put them through to the last 16 of the FA Vase.

WILLIAMS STRIKE GIVES DOCKERS HOME ADVANTAGE

Adam Williams hit a 51st minute goal to give Erith Town a 1-0 lead from the away leg of the League Cup quarter-final at Woodstock Sports.

Williams volleyed home after Grant Brown's pass had released Tyrus Gordon to cross.

Without the suspended Ben Payne and Marcus Perona, the Dockers had a chance to double thier advantage when Peter Smith was brought down in the 71st minute, Liam Burgess sent his penalty wide.

The return leg is at Erith Stadium on Monday 30th January.

DOUBLE DOCKERS FIGHTBACK EARNS A POINT

Erith Town twice came from a goal down to earn a 2-2 draw with Canterbury City on Saturday.

After missing two early chances the Dockers fell behind as Mike Smissen curled a shot beyond Kevin Fewell in the 16th minute.

It was 1-1 in the 38th minute when Adam Williams ended a fine three man moved by sweeping Alex Tiesse's pass past City keeper Connor Quinn.

Joe Kennett put the visitors ahead when he headed home at the far post from Jake Gess' 61st minute free-kick, but the lead only lasted a minute as James Hawkins turned in Williams' pass from the tightest of angles.

Hawkins was then denied a second goal by Quinn's fine save as an entertaining game ended with a point apiece.

The reserves' trip to Maidstone United ended in a 1-0 defeat.

RUSSELL MANAGER OF MONTH AS DOCKERS WIN AGAIN

Erith Town boss Tony Russell has been named as the Kent Hurlimann Football League manager of the month for December.

The Dockers won three and drew one of their four games in the month to go second in the table and earn the boss his second award this season.

On the field the fine form continued with a 3-1 home win over Woodstock Sports on Saturday.

Lyndon Rowland put the visitors ahead, but second half goals from Alex Tiesse, Adam Williams and a Liam Burgess penalty gave Erith a psychological advantage going in to their two legged League Cup quarter-final later this month.

AND FINALLY.....we wrongly stated that Nick Davis and James Hawkins scored their first goals of the season at Erith & Belvedere. In fact both had scored once already this season.

HERO HAWKINS AS IT'S DOCKERS' DERBY

James Hawkins netted an 86th minute winner as Erith Town won 2-1 at Erith & Belvedere on Monday.

The Deres drew first blood as Andy Constable put them ahead in the 32nd minute, but second half strikes from Nick Davis and Hawkins, both their second goals of the season, saw Tony Russell's side claim second place outright from Canterbury who lost 3-2 at 'home' to League leaders and landlords .Herne Bay.

The reserve's Kent Intermediate Cup quarter-final at Tonbridge Angels has been arranged for Tuesday 7th February at 7.45pm.

OH MY GORD! TYRUS PUTS DOCKERS SECOND

Erith Town go in to 2012 in second place after Tyrus Gordon bagged a 75th minute winner in a 1-0 victory at Lordswood.

It was Gordon's second goal in as many matches since his promotion from the reserves and took the Dockers above Canterbury City who were surprisingly beaten at Deal Town by the same score.

Herne Bay moved twelve points clear on Tuesday following a 3-1 win at home to Woodstock Sports.

Next up is the Erith derby at Park View Road on Monday 2nd January at 3pm.

BURGESS AT THE DOUBLE AS DOCKERS GO THIRD

Two Liam Burgess goals put Erith Town on the way to a 4-2 home win against Beckenham Town - a victory that puts the Dockers third going in to Christmas. More to follow

DOCKERS DENIED BY LATE HUMPHRIES STRIKE

Jamie Humphries 89th minute goal denied Erith Town victory in a 1-1 draw at Champion Hill.

Adam Williams got the Dockers off the a flying start with a third minute goal, but Fisher were deserving of their point as Kevin Fewell repeatedly denied the home side.

In the end a moment of misfortune beat Fewell as Humphries' shot bobbled off the surface and off the tips of his fingers in to the net.

The reserves completed their campaign in the League Cup Group section with a 2-1 win over Welling United and must now wait on other results to see if they have made the knock out stages.

DOCKER HOLD ON AFTER FLYING START

Adam Williams bagged a hat-trick as the Dockers beat Holmesdale 4-3 at Erith Stadium.

In an amazing start Kirt King and Williams netted in the first two minutes and they were 4-0 up after 16 minutes as the on loan striker completed his treble.

But the Dockers ended up holding on a James Baker and Steve Strotten pulled goals back before the break and Tunde Aderonmu scored the Dalers' third eight minutes from time.

The reserves a 4-1 win at Chatham Town.

FIRST HALF BLITZ RETURNS DOCKERS TO WINNING WAYS

First half goals from Kirt King, Peter Smith and Chris Walker ended the Dockers run of four defeats with a 3-1 win at Corinthian.

The reserves completed a successful week, following up Wednesday's 3-1 win at Cockfosters in the London Intermediate Cup by beating Bearsted 1-0 in the Kent Intermeidate Cup.

They will travel to Holmesdale or Tonbridge Angels in the last eight.

DOCKERS MAKE VASE EXIT AT READING

Erith Town made their FA Vase exit in a 2-1 defeat at Reading Town on Saturday.

After a goalless first half Chris Walker put the Dockers ahead with a stunning goal in the 55th minute.

Substitute Lewis levelled for the hosts in the 68th minute and Witt completed the turn around eleven minutes from time.

The Reserves kept themselves in the hunt for a League Cup quarter-finals as they held Phoenix Sports 0-0 at the Stadium.

Next up is Erith Town's first appearance in the Kent Senior Cup when they travel to old adverseries Hythe Town on Tuesday.

DOCKERS MAKE CUP EXIT ON DISAPPOINING NIGHT

Erith Town went out of the London Senior Cup as Kent Invicta League side Lewisham Borough desevedly earned a home tie with Corinthian Casuals on Monday night.

The Dockers never got going against a side who worked hard to deny them time and space.

There was controversy about the first goal as Peter Smith appeared to be fouled but the whistle never came and Victor Lojede took advantage to fire past Kevin Fewell.

Erith found chances hard to come by but four minutes in to the second half were level as James Hawins harmless looking cross evaded everyone to find the back of the net.

Perhaps confirming it wasn't to be the Dockers' night they fell behind two minutes later when Hawkins committed a foul in his own penalty area and Dominic Weston made no mistake from the spot.

Only a fine save from Fewell denied Borough a third as a cross got caught in the wind and was dipping in before the keeper intervened.

SIMON IS THE NEW COMMERCIAL MANAGER - NO KID-DING

Erith Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Kidby as the club's Commercial Manager.

Simon was previously secretary of Erith & Dartford Town FC but left his post recently. Several clubs were hoping to secure his services and we are delighted he has come to Erith Stadium.

Simon will be using his local contacts to raise the profile of the club locally and increase commercial activity and revenue.

We welcome Simon and wish him a long and successful stay.

UNBEATEN HOME RECORD GOES AS WELLS GO THIRD

Erith Town's unbeaten home record was lost as Tunbridge Wells avenged last season's Kent Senior Trophy Final defeat.

First half goals from Andy McMath and Jon Pilbeam put Wells two up at the break, but Chris Walker gave the Dockers hope when he pulled one back in the 55th minute.

Any hope of rescuing a point disappeared when McMath scored the visitors' third midway through the second half.

The Dockers have an early chance to bounce back when Lewisham Borough visit in the London Senior Cup on Monday evening.

DOCKERS LEAVE IT LATE FOR LEAGUE CUP PROGRESS

Three goals in the final half hour saw Erith Town through to the last eight of the Premier Division League Cup as they beat Lordswood 3-0 on Saturday.

Trailing to Dominic Elmes goal in the first leg, the Dockers found Lordswood in stubborn mood before two goals in two minutes turned the tie around.

In the 61st minute Billy Shinners levelled the tie on aggregate before Lewis Wood turned it round 60 seconds later to put Tony Russell's side in the driving seat.

Alex Tiesse made sure with a third goal a minute from time, his first since returning from injury.

LORDS ENJOY EDGE IN FIRST LEG TIE

Dominic Elmes' first half goal gave Lordswood a narrow advantage to bring to Erith Stadium next Saturday.

The Dockers must now at least repeat September's 2-0 win at Erith Stadium if they are prgoress to the last eight.

The defeat was Erith's first against Kent League oppostion since losing to Cray Valley at the end of August.

The reserves lost their League Cup group match at Welling United     3-2.

DOCKERS FACE BERKSHIRE TRIP IN FA VASE

Erith Town have been drawn away to Reading Town in the FA Vase 2nd round on 19th November.

Reading are currently 9th out of 21 in the Hellenic League Premier Division and beat fellow League side Ardley United 3-1 in an impressive win on Saturday.

They have previously beaten Harefield United 1-0 and Aylesbury United 2-1 at their Scours Lane ground.

SMITH TREBLE AS ERITH HAMMER FARNHAM IN FA VASE

Peter Smith hit a hat-trick as Erith Town beat Farnham Town 6-1 at Erith Stadium on Saturday.

Smith scored his first in the fourteenth minute, three minutes after Chris Walker had put the Dockers ahead.

Billy Shinners made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time and ten minutes after the break grabbed his second.

Shinners then scored a second to make it 5-0 and Smith completed his hat-trick midway through the half.

Farnham pulled back a consolation goal twenty minutes from time.

The victory even merited a mention on the FA website's FA Vase round-up and the Dockers now await Monday's 2nd round draw, with ties being played on 19th November.

DOCKERS LEAVE IT LATE

Billy Shinners scored in the sixth minute of injury time as Erith came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Greenwich Borough.

The Dockers made the worst possible stat when Mark Cumberhatch scored in just the second minute for Borough.

Goma Lambu scored his first goal for Erith to level four minutes later, but they were grateful to keeper Alex Hyde for several saves before Shinners' late winner.

The reserves won their first group match in the League Cup, beating Erith & Belvedere 2-0 at Erith Stadium.

ERITH BACK TO WINNING WAYS AS RUSSELL CELEBRATES AWARD

Erith bounced back from their FA Cup exit at Cray Wanderers with a 3-0 victory over Fisherat Avenue Road.

It was a perfect end to the week for manager Tony Russell who was awarded the Kent Hurlimann Football League Manager of the Month for September.

Skipper Ben Payne put the Dockers on the way with his first goal of the season in th e13th minute.

Peter Smith gave them a perfect start to the second half with a goal within a minute of the restart and James Hawkins rounded off the win with his first of the season ten minutes from time.

The Reserves picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at Whitstable Town.

In other news Erith Town will travel to Hythe Town in the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday 22nd November provided they are not involved in an FA Vase replay that week.

DOCKERS BOW OUT OF FA CUP TO CLASSY CRAY

Erith Town's FA Cup run ended as Cray Wanderers ran out 5-0 winners in the searing heat of Hayes Lane.

The Dockers' missed several chances to take the lead against a side two levels above them, but ultimately Cray showed their class to progress.

Billy Shinners had the Dockers' first chance when Wands' keeper Alan Walker turned his shot around the post and from the resulting corner Lee Craig rose above eveyone only to head over.

The best chance came as Erith launched a swift counter attack which saw Shinners cross to Kirt King who fired weakly at Walker with the goal at his mercy.

It was by no means one way traffic however with Cray rattling the bar, then being denied by a superb Nick Davis block and force saves from Alex Hyde.

The first goal was always likely to be pivotal and it was Cray who scored it on 24 minutes as Tommy Whitnell was given too much room to pick his spot and curl a shot past Hyde.

Still the Dockers pressed for an equaliser but ten minutes later Lewis Perkins wasn't closed down and fired a 25 yard shot in to Hyde's top right hand corner, and any lingering hopes were ended within another two minutes as Perkins fired low past Hyde to make it 3-0.

James Hawkins and Lewis Wood were introduced at half-time, but despite a bright opening to the second half Cray extended their lead just before the hour when Tyrone Sterling met a corner with a blistering volley past Hyde.

Perkins produced an almost carbon copy of his second goal to make it 5-0 in the 69th minute, and although Kirt King did find the net for Erith it was ruled out by the assistant's flag.

No one could doubt the effort of the players in incredible heat for October, but Cray deserved their victory and we wish them well in the competition.

The reserves went down to a 5-0 defeat at home to League leaders Faversham Town on Saturday.

DOCKERS FACE FARNHAM IN FA VASE

Combined Counties League side Farnham Town will be the Dockers' next opponents in the FA Vase 2nd qualifying round after a penalty shoot out win over Hassocks on Tuesday evening.

As on Saturday the teams drew 1-1 after extra time with the Surrey side winning 8-7 on penalties.

SIXTH STRAIGHT SUCCESS WIN AS SMUDGER SMASHES VICKERS

Tony Russell's side made it a record equalling sixth successive win as Peter Smith's towering header saw Erith win 1-0 at VCD Athletic.

It completed a double for the Dockers over their local rivals who have won all of their other six League games.

After an even first half, James Hawkins delivered a 48th minute corner to the far post where Smith rose to head home his first goal of the season despite Laurence Collins' attempt to keep the ball out.

From there Erith lost their foothold as VCD threw everything at them, but a mixture of brave defending, a couple of fine saves from Alex Hyde and some wasteful finishing from the hosts saw the Dockers defend their lead.

In the last 15 minutes Erith started to retain possession more and the chances became fewer.

After a perfect September the Dockers now prepare for Sunday's FA Cup trip to Cray Wanderers.

FA YOUTH CUP DRAW

The draw for the 3rd qualifying round has given Erith Town or Corinthian a trip to Ramsgate or Three Bridges.

The Dockers' youngsters will play at Corinthian on Tuesday 4th October at 7.30pm.

LATE LEWIS SEALS VASE VICTORY

Erith Town are in to the FA Vase 1st round after a 3-1 win at Banstead Athletic on Saturday.

Grant Brown opened the scoring on the half hour, but the hosts levelled a minute after half-time.

Nick Davis then headed his first goal for the Dockers before Lewis Wood made sure of victory with a third in the final minute.

After two away ties the Dockers will now be at home to Hassocks or Farnham Town who drew 1-1 after extra time in Sussex.

The replay is at Farnham on Tuesday night.

It was also a good day for the reserves who beat Erith & Belvedere 2-0 in the Kent Hurlimann League Division One.

DOCKERS YOUNGSTERS IN YOUTH CUP SUCCESS

Erith Town's under 18's progressed to the 2nd qualifying round with a 4-0 win over St Francis Rangers at Erith Stadium.

The youngsters will travel to Corinthian in the next round on Tuesday 4th October at 7.30pm.

RUSSELL RETURNS AS DOCKERS BAG CRAY TRIP

Erith Town boss Tony Russell will return to Cray Wanderers as the Dockers were drawn away to the Ryman Premier League side on Monday.

The tie has been switched to Sunday 2nd October at 3pm as Cray's landlords Bromley have been drawn at home to Welling United and will play their game on the Saturday.
